What happened to the studies on the religious in the twentieth century? What was their development? What was the connection between areas and the weight of historical events, as they have influenced the critical effort to know the doctrines, texts, traditions, the stories of different religious experiences? To answer these questions means to know the dictionary of religious history of the twentieth century, published by Il Mulino publishing house, developed by 116 specialists from various fields of these studies - Judaism, Christianity, Islam, religions and cultures of the East - which sector by sector, delineate the ways in which new problems, new methods, new sources have allowed these studies to progress.
Presentation of the work of the Italian Encyclopedia Institute (September 16, 2010, 11:30 am in Rome at the Hall of Palazzo Mattei di Paganica Igea), with talks by Alberto Melloni, Max Bray, Tullio Gregory and Bianca Maria Scarcia Amoretti.
