In partnership with Beida (Peking University) and other Chinese academic and theological institutions, the Fscire has promoted an exchange of students and professors. These collaborations have led to the launch of a series published Beida University Press, translations of the classics of Italian humanism in Mandarin Chinese. These are the first translations and are the result of a seminar of researchers of the Foundation together with scholars at Beida. The first volume is the Oration de hominis Dignity of Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, was published in September 2010.
One is working on the restoration of an original manuscript dating from the thirteenth century and a facsimile edition and comments on the so-called Bible of Marco Polo, in the belief that the encounters between China and Europe develop through the centuries in a series of approaches and departures in which Christianity plays a central role. The Christian experiences in China are therefore a key reading of great interest to explore two millennia of history.
