antonio gerace

Antonio Gerace (1987) received his master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Turin, and obtained his PhD in Religious Studies in 2017 working at the KU Leuven Faculty of Theology with Prof. Dr. Wim François on the “Golden Age of Biblical Scholarship in Leuven and Douai (1550-1650)”. Moreover, benefiting from the cooperation agreement between KU Leuven and Fscire, within the broader context of the European Network of Higher Education Institutions for Religious Studies, he also received the “Diploma di perfezionamento in scienze religiose” from Fscire. Gerace is also member of the KU Leuven Codex Eyckensis Research Project and, in collaboration with the ITSEE of Birmingham, he transcribed the Synoptic Gosples preserved in two pre-Carolingian manuscripts. After a one-year postdoc in Leuven, he moved to Fscire in 2018, having won a two-year junior fellowship. He is currently working on the education of the clergy after the Council of Trent.
