Research interests

The education of the clergy before and after the Council of Trent.

Education, academic and professional experience

He received his Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Turin, and obtained his PhD in Religious Studies in 2017 working at the KU Leuven Faculty of Theology with prof. Dr. Wim François on the Golden Age of Biblical Scholarship in Leuven and Douai (1550-1650). Moreover, benefiting from the cooperation agreement between KU Leuven and FSCIRE, within the broader context of the European Network of Higher Education Institutions for Religious Studies, he also received the Diploma di perfezionamento in scienze religiose from FSCIRE.
He is member of the KU Leuven Codex Eyckensis Research Project and, in collaboration with the ITSEE of Birmingham, he transcribed the Synoptic Gospels preserved in two pre-Carolingian manuscripts.
In 2017, he received a one-year postdoctoral position at KU Leuven Faculty of Theology.
In 2020, he obtained the Italian national scientific qualification (ASN) as Associate Professor in Book and Document Sciences and Religious History Sciences.
