Course Overview

The purpose of the workshop is to provide participants with an interdisciplinary introduction to the study of women and religion across historical, theological, and socio-cultural contexts.
It examines how women navigate, challenge, and transform religious traditions and institutions, while fostering critical engagement with questions of gender, migration, interreligious dialogue, and social change in diverse cultural settings.

Key features

Modules: The workshop consists of six weekly sessions structured around lectures and virtual exchange activities. Each session combines short lectures presenting thematic perspectives and case studies with a Q&A segment for participant interaction.
In the second part, participants engage in facilitated small international breakout groups to discuss assigned readings and reflect collectively on the themes introduced during the lectures.
Sessions conclude with a plenary discussion aimed at sharing insights and strengthening intercultural dialogue.
