G20 Interfaith Forum
G20 interfaith Forum: September 12-14, 2021, Bologna
Time to Heal – Peace among cultures, understanding between religions
In the framework of the 2021 G20, for which Italy held the Presidency for the first time, FSCIRE (Fondazione per le scienze religiose) hosted the Forum in Bologna from September 12 to 14.
This annual platform brigs together interreligious and intercultural organizations, religious leaders, scholars, humanitarian and development agencies with the aim of offering insights and recommendations to help shape global policy agendas.
The Forum’s central theme, “A Time to Heal” – calls for embracing the values and positive messages that different faith embody, in pursuit of a share sense of purpose. This is all the more vital in a historical moment marked by the pandemic and its dramatic consequences.
Sergio Mattarella, President of Italy
The event hosted 370 religious leaders, politicians and scholars from 70 countries.
